KCC 56 is...

A group of 5th-6th grade students dedicated to gathering family, serving community, and sending one another. Alright, so we just took the church's vision statement and applied it to KCC 56. But it's true! It's what we're all about; we just address it in unique, exciting ways. The students might call it a vibe; we call it KCC 56. It's not quite kids ministry. It's not quite youth ministry. It's a ministry designed to come into the gap and make 56 students feel at home.

KCC 56 Sundays

Hang

Class officially starts at 9:00a on Sundays, but we often don’t get rolling until about 9:05a to allow some time to hang out. Feel free to come early and have a good time. Our 56 space belongs to our 56 students!

Get Active

Before getting too in depth, we like to do an activity together. From making an escape room to playing real life Fruit Ninja to playing Guitar Hero to making lava lamps, we like to have a good time introducing a Bible story!

Dive in

Our 56 students are more than capable of in-depth text study. That’s why we dive deep into the Word as we study what our 56 executive team prayerfully guides us to study. It’s student-inspired, fun-filled, Bible-rich learning!

Current Study

After Jesus was killed, he resurrected and spent 40 more days on this earth making all things new. It’s not a period of time we talk about much, but Jesus spent intentional time showing himself to his followers, revealing his identity to them, and charging them to continue his work after he left. From talking and walking with two followers on the road to Emmaus to appearing out of nowhere to his Disciples to changing Thomas’s doubting mind to his ascension, Jesus had a busy 40 days.

After learning of Jesus’s ascension, we’ll focus on his resurrection miracles as he resurrected the son of the Widow of Nain, Jairus’s daughter, Lazarus, and “many saints” at his death. Throughout his ministry, Jesus truly did make all things new.

Kids Day at KCC was an entire Sunday about kids, for kids, and by kids! Kids aren’t the future of the church – they are the church RIGHT NOW! We dedicated our 9:00a classes to kids and parents with "The Cereal Bowl," catered our 10:00a worship service toward kids with kids serving, and hosted a volunteer training after church! It was a huge success and an awesome day!

Our annual Family Valentine's Banquet and fundraiser was the bees knees! We celebrated families, played games, ate food, decorated cookies, made a craft, and auctioned off art made by our students to raise more than $3,000 for KCC Kids and KCC 56! Thank you to all who were involved!

Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Pickleball, Disc Golf, and more were played at our #Goals event! We talked about the #Goals God has for us as Paul tells us to run our race as though we are trying to win the prize. We achieved our #Goals of having a great event, and we can’t wait for the next one!
